Boniface Kayode Alese is a Professor of Information and Cyber Security at the Department of Cyber Security, at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, in Nigeria.
He has more than twenty years of experience in Teaching, Research, and Community Service starting as a Graduate Assistant in 1998 and rising to become a Professor in 2014. Prof Alese holds a PhD degree in Computer Science with specialization in Information and Cyber Security from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria in 2004.
He has close to 200 Publications in reputable journals and referred conference proceedings. Prof Alese has Graduated 18 PhD students as a Major Supervisor and another 27 as a Co-Supervisor. He was a Chair occupant of the First Bank of Nigeria Professorial Chair in Computer Science for four years. Prof Alese is a Registered IT Practitioner and a Member of various associations such as Nigerian Computer Society, IEEE (Computer Science), ISSA, ISACA, Cyber Security Expert Association of Nigeria, ACM, Cyber Peace Foundation, and Cyber Peace Corps.
He is the current President of Technology Against Crime, Africa Cyber Crime Expert Group. He is a regular Speaker at Information and Cyber Security workshops and conferences, both locally and internationally.
