Mrs Bisratewongel Tegegne Alemu is currently in the final year of her PhD working on 'Method development for pharmaceutical residue analysis from environmental samples'. As the consumption of pharmaceuticals is increasing from time to time worldwide, there is a need for developing an analytical method for qualitative and quantitative analysis. As her output result, confirmes analytical methods should be developed according to the nature of the compounds. The quantification analysis reports pharmaceutical residues are in the environment which needs to be monitored. In the future, she would like to collaborate with other professionals and design a mense and mechanism of removal of pharmaceuticals from environmental samples.
