Dr. Selim Adewale Alarape is a Lecturer and Researcher in the Fish and Wildlife Unit of the Department of Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine, University of Ibadan. Selim does research in Veterinary Public Health (Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases), Aquatic and Wildlife Medicine, One Health and Climate Change, Toxicology and Aquatic Immunology. His research interest is Molecular Characterization, Sequence Analysis, and Taxonomic Position of Aquatic Animals (Feral and Cultured) Infectious Diseases of Public Health Importance in Nigeria. He is currently working on Molecular Characterization of Hepatitis A and E Viruses from Feral and Cultured Fish and their genomic relationship with humans.
