Brief Biography (English)

Dr Akinleye Stephen Akinrinde completed a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree program from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2007 and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biochemistry (Molecular Drug Metabolism and Toxicology) in 2010, also from the University of Ibadan. He proceeded to the University of Fort Hare, Alice, South Africa, where he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry in 2017. In the same year, he was awarded a Fellowship Diploma of the College of Veterinary Surgeons, Nigeria. He is currently employed at the University of Ibadan, where he teaches biochemistry to pre-clinical veterinary medicine students. He researches Biochemical and Molecular mechanisms of toxicology of xenobiotics, gastroenterology, and natural products. He has several relevant publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of reputable learned societies including the Biochemical Society, UK; International Society for Neurochemistry, Switzerland, and the Society of Toxicology, USA. He is registered with the Veterinary Council of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA).  He is married to lovely children.
