Dr Richard Akele had his primary school education at the National Veterinary Research Institute Staff School, Vom, Plateau State Nigeria. He proceeded to Government Science School Kuru, Plateau State where he had his secondary school education from 1994-2000. He enrolled in the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS) Medical Microbiology program at FCVMLT NVRI Vom from 2001-2006. Richard had his one-year internship at NVRI Vom (2007-2008) and proceeded on NYSC at General Hospital Calabar. He is passionate about service to Humanity. This he has displayed by working as a volunteer under the GHAIN project and Pro-health international. He has attended several trainings few amongst which are: ACEGID foundational genomics boot camp, Supply Chain and Logistics Management Training, IITA Genomics training, just to mention a few. He is a passionate follower of Jesus and dedicated to mentoring children. Richard has been in the Immunology Laboratory of Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research, the University of Ghana for research experience training for seven months. He is happily married with two lovely children.
