Dr RT Akanbi’s has a PhD in Environment and Society from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, with exposure in research, technology transfer and management skills. She is registered as a natural scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professionals (SACNASP). The skills and exposures she has acquired over the years have better positioned her to shape her research trajectory in the areas of integrated water resources management, climate change and associated impacts on water availabilities. She is a self-starter with critical and analytical skills to tackle new challenges, finding innovative interventions, to limit the impacts of climate change, especially amongst resources poor individuals and communities, drives her research initiatives.
