Dr. Duyilemi Ajonijebu has accumulated years of teaching and research experience with refereed research articles mostly in the field of behavioural neuroscience and/or neurobiology. He received his PhD in Physiology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), where he focussed on characterising addictive-like behaviours in rodents using the IntelliCage system and further investigated epigenetic changes in animal models of drug abuse. He then received postdoctoral training as a research fellow at the University of Cape Town in the Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine. Currently, Dr. Ajonijebu holds the position of lecturer in Physiology in the School of Biomolecular and Chemical Sciences at Nelson Mandela University in South Africa.
