Dr Chukwuedozie Ajaero holds a PhD in Population Geography which was funded by a grant from the International Foundation for Science (IFS) Stockholm, Sweden. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Demography and Population Studies Programme, University of the Witwatersrand (2015-2017), South Africa. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Renewable Energy Project Resource Center (REPRC), and the Director of Research and Capacity Building at the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Nigeria. Dr Ajaero is also the Visiting Senior Lecturer at Demography and Population Studies Programme, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. His areas of research include migration, livelihoods and food security, climate change, health and quality of life, and population-environment linkages. He has to his credit journal articles, book chapters, and is a co-author of a book titled “Climate Change and the Nigerian Environment". Dr Ajaero is also a Social Impact Assessment Consultant for developmental projects in different parts of Nigeria and is a member of several professional bodies including ANG, Population Association of America (PAA), International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP), and PERN.
