Dr Afolayan currently work as a bioinformatician with a team of scientists on the Global Health Research Unit for the Genomic Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance Project, which is aimed at monitoring WHO-high priority pathogens circulating within Nigeria via the route of genomics.
