Olayinka Omowunmi Adewumi is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Lagos, Nigeria. Her research focuses on theoretical and numerical investigations that improve the thermal performance of fluid flow and heat transfer equipment. She obtained her BEng degree at the Ekiti State University, Nigeria in 1999, her MSc degree at the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 2002 and PhD at the University of Pretoria, South Africa all in Mechanical Engineering. She is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) and a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). She is an author and co-author of articles in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals and presented her work in international conferences in Africa, Europe, Asia and the United States.
