Dr Jacobs Mobolade Adesina's research activities involves the utilisation of plant materials for the management of insect pest as a veritable substitute to synthetic insecticides. His research focus on the isolation, characterisation and identification of plant volatiles or biochemical constituents, evaluation of plant extracts toxicity. He is a recipient of the prestigious CV Raman Fellowship for African Researchers and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) Research and Advanced Training Fellowship. He ads a PhD in Agricultural Entomology and an MAgric Tech in Pest Management from the Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeri.
Presently, Dr Adesina is a Head of Department, Crop, Soil and Pest Management Technology, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Ondo state, Nigeria, Resource Person for National Board for Technical Education on Accreditation of Agricultural Related courses in Colleges of Agriculture, Polytechnics in Nigeria. Equally served as external examiner to the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Oyo State and Lagos State Polytechnic Ikorodu.
