Brief Biography (English)

Dr  Adesina Over the past ten years has served as project coordinator, lecturer, research and development engineer in areas related to metallurgy, materials, and mechanical operational responsibilities with much focus on surface engineering (wear & corrosion - resistant coatings), cathodic protection techniques, and materials characterization.

Dr Adesina obtained both BEng (Hons) and MEng in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from the Federal University of Technology (Akure), Nigeria in 2008 and 2012 respectively, as well as an MBA (Master of Business Administration) Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University (Ile-Ife), Nigeria in 2014. In 2018, obtained a Doctorate Degree in Metallurgical Engineering (DEng) from Tshwane University of Technology (Pretoria), South Africa.

He a Certified Engineer with COREN (Nigeria), Corporate Member; Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), Member; Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), Member; Corrosion Institute of South Africa (CISA) and Member; South Africa Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM). His professional training include, HSE Level 2 & 3 (SHELL-NISP), Material Characterization/Analysis, Electrochemistry Autolab Potentiostat and Project Management Professionals (Prince 2).

His doctoral research entails the use of laser surface cladding (LSC) technique to prevent corrosion and tribological degradation of titanium in engineering (offshore and petro-chemical) applications. During his doctoral study,  He worked as a Research Assistant & Corrosion Engineer under Surface Engineering Research Centre (SERC), TUT, Pretoria, South Africa.  He has authored and co-authored over Fifty (50) peer-reviewed publications.

Before embarking on my study,  He worked at Prototype Engineering Development Institute (PEDI-NASENI) from 2011-2015, serving as Materials and Corrosion Engineer with responsibilities attached to: Metallographic and Materials analyses as well as Surface treatment and Corrosion laboratory. He had my industrial trainee and graduate (temporary) trainee (2010 – 2011) experience with Pipeline and Product Marketing Co-operation (PPMC-NNPC), Ibadan, Oyo – State, where he was a member of a pipeline maintenance group with responsibilities focusing on repairs of ruptured and vandalized pipeline systems as well as corrosion monitoring of the pipeline and product tanks system.He is optimistic to work with a leading and reputable company with a track record on capacity building, so as to brace up with the challenges emerging in the oil and gas industries.
