Adeniyi K. Adeneye is a Research Fellow at the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, Lagos, and has his background in Medical Sociology. He has over two decades of community work experience relative to public health programmes through research. His areas of research interests cover social epidemiology (social aspects of both communicable and non-communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, schistosomiasis, soil-transmitted helminths, etc); reproductive and sexual health; maternal and child health situation; community health interventions (health education and community participation); qualitative methods and health policy and systems research in Nigeria. He has many authoritative works published in credible national and international peer-reviewed journals. Most of which can be found in the worldwide ResearchGate and Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) platforms and is widely cited. He is a reviewer for many national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has expertise and experience in using mixed-method approaches in conceptualising, designing, implementing, and managing research projects. He has attended scores of national and international professional, scientific, educational, and health conferences. He is a member of professional societies and associations. He was a member of the NIMR Institutional Review Board (NIMR IRB) for 12 years during which he served as the Assistant Secretary for four years.
