Brief Biography (English)

Rasheed Adeleke is currently an Associate Professor with North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, South Africa. He worked as a Senior Researcher at the Agricultural Research Council between 2011 and 2019. Prof Adeleke obtained his PhD degree from the University of Pretoria, Department of Microbiology and Plant Pathology. He is an alumnus of the Borlaug Fellowship Programme at Cornell University (USA) as well as a Canadian government commonwealth scholarship beneficiary. Prof Adeleke Collaborates with researchers both nationally and internationally and his current Research Interests include bioremediation, plant-microbe interactions, food production/agricultural microbiology, biological control of plant pathogens and soil biotechnology.
