Brief Biography (English)

Dr. Samuel Olorunfemi Adams is a don of Non – parametric Regression and Spline smoothing Regression in the Department of Statistics, University of Abuja, Nigeria. He had his undergraduate studies at the University of Abuja, where he graduated as the second overall best graduating student in Statistics in year 2000. He subsequently went to the University of Ilorin, Kwara state, and received his MSc. and PhD. degrees in Statistics. As a Statistics teacher, Statistical Consultant, Data Analyst, Researcher, and SPSS facilitator, he is widely known for his contributions in the field of Non – Parametric Statistics. Dr. Adams started his career at the University of Abuja in 2004 and rose to the rank of Lecturer 1 in 2012. He later served as the departmental Secretary, Department of Statistics, University of Abuja (206-2010); and departmental examination officer, department of Statistics, University of Abuja, (2014 – 2018). He is also an SPSS instructor with Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) an ICT training arm of Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC). He is a registered member of the Nigerian Statistical Association (NSA), Science Association of Nigeria (SAN), and Professional Statisticians Society of Nigeria (PSSN). Dr. Adams has well over 25 academic publications comprising of local and international journals as well as over 10 papers presented in learned conferences in and outside Nigeria.
