Dr Rob Adam is the Director of the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) South Africa Project. He has previously held the positions of Group Executive: Nuclear at the Aveng Group, Chief Executive of the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation and Director-General of the Department of Science and Technology.
Dr Adam has held the title of Extraordinary Professor of Physics at both the University of Pretoria and the University of South Africa. In addition, he Serves on the Council of the Academy of Science of South Africa and is President of the Nuclear Industry Association of South Africa.
He has held various Academic Positions in Europe and South Africa and has Published more than 30 refereed articles in theoretical physics as well as a number of others on science and technology policy.
