Brief Biography (English)

Mrs AyoJesutomi Abiodun-Solanke obtained her first and second degree in Food Science and Technology. Her primary area of interest is food safety, processing and utilisation. She lectures at the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Mrs Abiodun-Solanke belongs to many international and local professional organisations. She is a fellow of African Women in Agricultural Research and Development. She is the General Secretary of Nigerian Women in Agricultural Research for Development (NiWARD) and African Women Fish Processors Network (Awfishnet). She is also the communication director of African Continental Association of Food Protection. She has won several travel grants to present some of her innovations in international forums. She has also won several research grants such as International Federation of Science (IFS) in 2019 and a collaborative research grant on GenderedSTEAM Design projects with some colleagues at Lagos State University on fish drying. She is very passionate about achieving food safety and security in Africa.
