Mr Yaseen Moolla received the MSc degree in computer science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa. He is currently employed as a Senior Researcher in the Information and Cyber Security Centre at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Pretoria, South Africa. He has over a decade of experience working in a research institute. He has interests in computer vision, image processing, biometrics, and machine learning. He has worked on the development of signature verification systems; high-security contactless fingerprint recognition using optical coherence tomography; touchless fingerprint recognition systems; biometrics for infants using fingerprints, irises, and ear patterns; and identification and traceability systems.
