Free training session on ChatGPT

A new wave of artificial intelligence (AI) has been introduced to the wider public last year since the launch of ChatGPT, an AI chatbot that promises organizations to increase their productivity by automating regular tasks. Join us for this practical session, particularly aimed at those in communications or involved in outreach activities, which will provide an overview of this most popular generative AI tool and guidance on how it can be used effectively. The session will be facilitated twice to accommodate different time zones and is a direct result of requests from ISC Members at the Mid-term meeting held in May:

  • Session 1: 28 June, 07:00 UTC
  • Session 2: 28 June, 15:00 UTC

Please feel free to share the invitation with your networks. Registration required: https://council.science/events/chatgpt-science-ai/

Reminder: More on AI – The ISC, through the Centre for Science Futures, is working on a broader campaign on this critical and emerging issue, and is seeking inputs and experts by 30 Junehttps://futures.council.science/ai-impact-science.

Please find below some further updates from the International Science Council and the ISC community.

1. ISC at the High Level Political Forum
For ISC Members and your networks

The ISC will be sending a delegation to the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York (10-19 July), and through its co-convening role of the UN Scientific and Technological Community Major Group, can facilitate the registration of a limited number of participants from the scientific community under this umbrella. Please let us know if your organization would like to attend the HLPF and request registration for your delegates by 22 June via https://council.science/events/hlpf-2023/.

I also take this opportunity to kindly ask that you let us know if your organization will be attending the HLPF and to share your organization’s activities around the event so we can showcase the scientific community’s engagement in the Forum.
