The University of Pretoria (UP) Alumni Office invites you to join the next instalment of our LeadUP: Alumni Thought Leadership Conversations, titled ‘AI-driven Africa: How artificial intelligence is changing the world we know’.

What happens if AI becomes uncontrollable? And on the flipside: What are the opportunities for South Africa, Africa, and the world? How might the influence of AI continue to play out in the worlds of business, education, medicine, banking, arts and culture, governance, entertainment, and beyond?
Prof Mmaki Jantjies, Telkom Group Head: Innovation and Transformation; Prof Vukosi Marivate, UP ABSA Chair of Data Science; Prof Wesley Rosslyn-Smith, Director, Centre for the Future of Work, UP; and Prof Alta van der Merwe, Deputy Dean: UP Faculty of Engineering, Built Environment & IT will be in conversation with journalist and strategic communications practitioner Ms Sebenzile Nkambule.
